The focus of my artistic and academic research is the aesthetics of the contemporary body. The body is understood here in his dimension of human knowing and involved with the environment that inhabits. Accordingly, dance and performance are possibilities of researching the contemporary body imbued by Digital Culture. The creative process mediated by digital technologies promotes a wide field of investigation of human perceptions (e.g. dancers as well as the audience). Thus, my interest in dance with technological mediation has always been focused on perceptual and sensory experience of the work, not the use of the device itself. This understanding is the core of my professional activities in the research, education and courses, as a lecturer at the Institute of Humanities, Arts and Sciences Prof. Milton Santos, and the Graduate Program in Theater and Dance, also coordinator of Research Group Technological Poetics and director of MAPAD2 platform. MAPAD2 is a platform dedicated to Portuguese-speaking and Spanish-speaking countries, and the target of MAPAD2 is to integrate the knowledge of university researchers with the artistic community and vice-versa. This project came about as a reflection of my context, my role as a researcher as well as a dancer. Research in artistic processes with technological mediation in academic research is fertile ground for development as well as scientific projects can benefit from the experiments (aesthetic experience) in the field of arts. Therefore, interdisciplinary should happen in fields of knowledge, also in spheres of knowledge:
